Our client based in Masterton Wellington Shukrana Limited Trading as The Good Spot Eatery is currently looking for individuals to join our team as an experienced Cook.

Minimum 30 and Maximum 40 hours/week guaranteed.

NZ $29.00 - $30.00 per hour

The ideal candidates should have a passion for food, the ability to thrive under pressure, and be committed and reliable.
Minimum 3 years experience required.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

Preparing and cooking food for takeaway and restaurant

Examining each dish for quantity, quality, presentation, and correct temperature

Correct portioning (serving size) of the food, adding sauces and gravies

Seasoning and garnishing the dishes

Controlling the temperatures of the cooking equipment, ovens, and grills

Following instructions and preparing the food as per dietary requirements

Storing the food at the required temperatures

Assisting in ordering the inventory and maintaining stock levels

Suggesting new dishes and assisting in planning the menu

Keeping the work areas clean, hygienic, and tidy

Ensuring kitchen compliance meets all health and safety regulations

Job Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen

Time management skills and ability to work under pressure

Innovative and creative

Physically fit and hardworking

Willing to work from 10 AM to 10 PM, Monday to Sunday, including weekends

Availability during late night closing, weekends, public holidays, and during Christmas and New Year breaks
