Cook Wanted Work Location: New Plymouth Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week) permanent.
Our pay: $29.66 - $31 per hour depending on experience.
We are a long established and busy Chinese Fusion restaurant in New Plymouth.
To meet increasing community needs, we are now looking for 1 Cook to join our team.
We are expecting someone who is a team player and is multi-tasking.
Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years relevant work experience, preferably related to Asian cuisine.
Tasks Include: Assist the chef in the preparation and cooking of food as required.
Follow direction toward portion control cooking standards and wastage.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
Assist in planning and revising menus as needed, incorporating seasonal ingredients and dietary considerations.
Check and manage inventory of ingredients, including ordering and storing supplies to maintain kitchen efficiency.
