Working hours: 30-40 hours between Monday-Sunday
Location: 162 Devon Street East, New Plymouth Central, New Plymouth 4310
Responsibilities: Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
Ordering food supplies and managing the stocks
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Preparing and cooking food; explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
May select and train staff; may freeze and preserve foods
Requirements: 3 years of work experience working in a commercial kitchen or relevant qualification in cookery or any bachelor degree with the ability to cook
Experience in Korean cuisine is preferred
The ability to follow recipes
The ability to work in a team
