Job Description About the Role: The Cook is an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for delivering delicious and nutritious meals for our residents.
This role will encompass meal preparation, adherence to dietary requirements and ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene.
This is a permanent full-time position working 4 days on, 2 days off starting 7 am - 3.30 pm.
Your responsibilities will include: Food preparation according to established menus and dietary requirements & preferences Maintaining strict adherence to food safety standards including food storage, handling and cooking techniques Preparing and cooking set meals to residents' satisfaction in a timely manner Building and managing rapport with direct reports with full accountability for all aspects of coaching and performance development Complying with all food safety requirements and maintaining high levels of food hygiene at all times Qualifications About You: You will be a highly motivated and skilled Cook with excellent time management skills.
To be successful you will bring: Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a similar setting as such as a retirement community or healthcare facility or restaurant Sound understanding of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a clean kitchen environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively in a team environment  Flexibility with work schedule, including weekends and holidays as required Certification in safe food handling is preferred Additional Information What's in it for you?
