Our Client in south Auckland is looking for an experienced CHEF to join their Authentic Indian Cuisine.

Minimum 30 hours and Maximum 40 hours Guaranteed for the week.

$29.00 - $30.00 Per hour

Responsibilities:

Supervise the production of dishes including snacks and masalas, monitor quality, and ensure presentation to the highest standards.

Ensure stock is ordered and equipment maintained to ensure a smooth operation of the kitchen section.

Manage relevant sections of the kitchen by preparing a designated range of menu items according to recipes and within budget.

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience.

Excellent understanding of food hygiene guidelines.

Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently.

Duties:

Assist the Head Chef in creating menu items and recipes, developing the menu, and designing and analyzing recipes.

Estimate and determine the ingredient requirements then prepare the order.

Prepare, cook, and season food.

Prepare base sauces for Indian dishes daily and check the quality of all base sauces.

Prepare sauces, dips, and accompaniments.

Store raw and cooked food in appropriate containers and in temperature-controlled facilities.

Portion food, plate, garnish, and add sauces to food.

Be a strong team player and fit into a tight-knit team.
