The Fork and Tap Alehouse and Restaurant – Arrowtown, South Island Located in the heart of Arrowtown, The Fork and Tap is a vibrant historic restaurant and gastropub that provides an array of New Zealand craft beers, excellent wine options, and fresh, delicious food to match.
Tasks and Responsibilities (depending on your experience level) We are looking for those who can work in a fast-paced busy kitchen.
You will be a great team player with excellent communication.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar commercial kitchen is essential.
Flexibility with the roster is essential; must be able to work evenings and weekends.
A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed.
Tasks include: Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development Opening and closing of the kitchen unassisted Production, preparation, and presentation of food, to the standard set by the Head Chef Ensuring kitchen hygiene and cleanliness is maintained Involvement with all food safety requirements Supervision of all junior staff Stock control and ordering Preparing, portioning, and cooking food Storing food appropriately What we can offer you Competitive wage structure Progression through the business Meals on shift 30% discount on all products when not working Staff incentives Staff accommodation available Promotion of healthy lifestyle/work-life balance All applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.
