We are on the lookout for passionate kitchen staff who would enjoy the opportunity to share their culinary skills and outstanding customer service with the 45 residents at this aged residential care home based in Taumarunui.
We have part time opportunities available as well as casual positions to cover both Cook and Catering Assistant shifts as and when required to fill gaps in the roster and cover leave, so we are looking for motivated individuals who are flexible to work across the various shifts of a 7-day roster.
These positions do not require qualified chefs but would suit those with knowledge and experience in preparing, cooking, and plating wholesome food in a home or community setting. You will be working to a set menu. Recipes are provided and training will be given. To be successful you will need to:
- Be friendly and engaging and enjoy making the day of residents by serving amazing meals.
- Have an understanding of dietary requirements, allergies, and food control regulations.
- Be an exceptional team player with a flexible and committed attitude.
- Have good time management skills.
- Be able to work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
