We are a recently established bar and restaurant in Methven, attached to the iconic Methven Resort. Our establishment offers a cozy environment where locals and visitors alike come to enjoy great food after a day on the slopes or on a sunny summer evening. We take pride in serving a diverse menu that caters to a range of tastes and specialising in chargrilled steaks.
Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Cooks or Chefs to join our kitchen team. Whether you're a seasoned chef or just starting out, we want to hear from you! If you're passionate about food, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy working as part of a team, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring high quality and presentation Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations Assist in menu planning, food prep, and inventory management Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Handle high-pressure service periods with efficiency and professionalism What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a kitchen is an advantage but not essential—we're open to candidates of all skill levels A passion for cooking and delivering high-quality food Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment A team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Skills & Experience Proficiency in a commercial kitchen and using commercial cooking equipment Fluent in English Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations Formal Qualifications are preferred
