Control Systems Engineer - Tokoroa

CarterHolt Harvey Plywood is looking for a Control Systems Engineer at our site based on the Kinleith Estate in Tokoroa.
Reporting directly to the Electrical and Projects Manager, this role is a Monday to Friday position, 40 hours per week, with additional support required during shut-downs.

Key areas you'll be focusing on include:

Developing, implementing, and overseeing the performance of all electrical, automation, and control systems software and hardware within the mill.
Implementing support systems that minimize potential impacts on business operations through equipment failure or sub-optimal operation.
Assisting maintenance and operations staff with process troubleshooting and systems training.
Developing and recommending improvements to site control and information systems to increase operational performance.

What you'll bring:

A relevant qualification NZQA Level 7 Engineering, ideally experience as an Electrician.
Proven industrial experience with control systems development.
Familiarity with a wide range of business and process control software and hardware.
Sound technical and analytical skills; you'll be able to demonstrate your control systems design capability.
Commitment to demonstrating health and safety, and environmental leadership.
Skilled at communicating complex ideas and issues in simple, clear language.
Flexible in your approach, and responsive to new ideas.
Offer a high degree of initiative and self-direction.
Your determination and reliability as a team player.
Wood products processing industry knowledge combined with project management experience would be an advantage.
