The water and waste team are also responsiblefor managing the capital works design and procurement with the assistance ofengineering consultants where required.As acontract engineer you will be providing oversight of the operations andmaintenance to ensure contracts are delivered, key performance indicators aremet and administrative functions are completed on time and to budget.To besuccessful in this role you will need:a tertiaryqualification in civil engineeringthree yearsrelevant experience in the operations and contracting environmentknowledge of watersupply, wastewater and stormwater reticulation and treatmentfinancial/budgetmanagement experiencehigh level ofcustomer service care and ethicsArelevant qualification in water/wastewater treatment would be an advantage.About Council:With 11% of the total land area of New Zealand, including FiordlandNational Park and Stewart Island Rakiura, Southland District Council has thelargest land area to manage of any territorial authority.
