We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join our Operations team.
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, you will spearhead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, drive safety standards, and elevate product quality.
In this role, you will be deeply involved in optimizing processes and implementing strategic improvements.
You will lead efforts in identifying opportunities for operational excellence, coach and mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to achieve outstanding results and drive sustainable growth.
Additionally, you and your team will become the area of Technical Excellence for the Dairyworks' Manufacturing Business.
NPD commercialisation, complex problem-solving and machinery optimisation will be supported by you and your team.
Job tasks and responsibilities The position will: Lead the deployment of Dairyworks continuous improvement program, ensuring all performance parameters are met.
Support the team to drive continuous improvement in OEE, right first-time quality, yield, waste, cost, loss and waste reduction.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives applicable to manufacturing that deliver tangible results and drive staff engagement.
Assist with NPD commercialisation Lead problem-solving Lead machinery optimisation Lead the CI Team to become a technical centre of excellence Assist with capital projects Qualifications in Engineering, Food Technology, Packaging Technology, Manufacturing Management are preferred 5+ years in continuous improvement with a track record of achieving targets and best practice benchmarks preferred Proven experience leading and developing teams to drive performance and growth, required Dairy or Food Packaging industry experience preferred Background in packaging and processing preferred High intelligence and intuitiveness to be able to quickly assess situations and decisively and effectively act Sound analytical skills Willingness to make tough calls when necessary Proven relationship-building skills Strong capability in problem-solving and decision making Well-developed interpersonal skills, coaching and mentoring skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Proven ability to work under pressure and regularly meets deadlines in a multi-tasking environment Job benefits and perks After 3 months of continuous employment, the employee is entitled to company-provided Southern Cross health insurance.
