Each year, the New Zealand Government spends more than $50 billion on goods and services that are essential for the delivery of public services and infrastructure, economic growth, and the wellbeing of New Zealanders.
This role is responsible for the ongoing effort to find and promulgate improvement, innovation, lessons learned and change impact across the government procurement system, including processes, tools, and services using best practice continuous improvement tools.
The Continuous Improvement Advisor is responsible for: Operational advice on improvements and innovations across the government procurement system.
Providing tools and templates for agencies to use across the government procurement system to increase consistency and streamline processes.
Managing procurement system business processes, ensuring they are kept current and are continually reviewed for relevancy to procurement activity.

Experience managing small to medium sized projects.
An understanding of Government decision making and operating procedures.
Demonstrated experience of leading by example and an ability to bring people along.
Working knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
Develops valued and cooperative working relationships with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
Takes responsibility and accountability and produces a high standard of work.
Participates positively and is engaged in team activities.
Well-developed professional written and verbal communication abilities.
