Each year, the New Zealand Government spends more than $50 billion on goods and services that are essential for the delivery of public services and infrastructure, economic growth, and the wellbeing of New Zealanders. The Government and the New Zealand public expect this spend to deliver value. NZGP is tasked with leading the settings, outcomes and performance of the procurement system managing this expenditure.This role is responsible for the ongoing effort to find and promulgate improvement, innovation, lessons learned and change impact across the government procurement system, including processes, tools, and services using best practice continuous improvement tools.The Continuous Improvement Advisor is responsible for:Operational advice on improvements and innovations across the government procurement system.Providing tools and templates for agencies to use across the government procurement system to increase consistency and streamline processes.Managing procurement system business processes, ensuring they are kept current and are continually reviewed for relevancy to procurement activity.You will be part of a newly formed team with the mission of helping NZGP improve the way we work to focus on the needs of our customers. We will work with teams at NZGP and directly with agencies. As a new function at NZGP we will build a way of working and approach together.
