Description JOB SUMMARY: Manages the overall Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization. Will be responsible for ensuring compliance with current New Zealand Defense Force (NZDF) airworthiness requirements.Accountable for ongoing development and continuous improvement of the maintenance expositions, Standard Operation Procedures, and training system.Administers standards for employee health and environmental protection in accordance with EPA regulations and Company policy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: +
Oversees the activities of Aircraft, Avionics, and Egress Technicians, ensuring that their work meets the technical quality standards defined by various specifications and regulations.
Ensures that the Service Center Continued Airworthiness Management Organization Exposition and Standard Operating Procedures are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the Quality System Manual.
Reports actual or potential deviations from the technical quality standards to the Accountable Manager.
Ensures that all technical information and specifications upon which aircraft overhaul, maintenance, repairs, servicing, modifications, installations, and rework is performed is FAA and/or CAA Approved and is the latest version available.
Ensure that all documents, records, and other quality information resources are periodically reviewed, and disposition handled according to Textron Aviation Standard Practice CSP 3-4, "Record Retention."
Ensures that all maintenance management functions comply with DARs Part M requirements.
Management of the oversight of continued airworthiness information, including AD, SB, SI, maintenance programs etc.
Manage the approval of modifications and repairs, ensuring all are performed to an approved standard for continued airworthiness.
Capture and review of all non-mandatory airworthiness data, as issued by Type Certificate / Supplemental Type Certificate holder(s) for the aircraft, engine, and equipment, implementing action plans as required.
Review and implementation, as appropriate of any additional New Zealand Defense Force airworthiness requirements.
Liaison with the aircraft, engine and equipment manufactures regarding continuing airworthiness matters.
Responsible for all aspects for the Service Center Continuing Airworthiness Organization; including but are not limited to Computerized Maintenance Management System oversight, maintenance oversight, aircraft configuration control, and periodic self-audits
Qualifications EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: +
Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree requires 10 years of related aviation experience
Airframe & Powerplant license or equivalent preferred
Minimum 5 years of relative aviation experience required of which at least two years should be within a CAA/EASA/Military Part M Sub-Part G, Part 145 organization in a comparative position (i.e. Deputy Quality Manager, Quality Auditor/Training).
QUALIFICATIONS: +
Candidate must be a self-starter with strong planning, organizational, written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.
Requires the ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, analyze situations objectively and make sound decisions, and interpret budgets and finance data.
Good interpersonal and presentation skills as well as solid computer skills are required.
Knowledge of EASA/EMAR applicable rules (Part 21, 66, 145, 147 & Part M, Sub-part G)
