This position requires the incumbents to work closely with subjectmatter experts, Kairuruku, Programme Developers, Programme Development Advisorsand Digital & Instructional Designers. This role is a critical component oflearning design therefore requires excellent listening, research and peopleskills to gather essential information that inform quality educationalactivities.
There is a great expectation in this role to ensurethat Te Kaupapa Matua and Matauranga Maori underpin all systems, processes,procedures and practices.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: Lead and promote the development of contentcapability in instructional design to enhance learning and knowledgeacquisition in the teamWork closely with Programme Developers andProgramme Development Advisors to deliver innovative, evidence-based, andscalable content solutionsComplete amendments for existing programmelearning & teaching resource change/s to enhance and support qualityprogramme improvementDevelop, curate, and manage content for theDigital & Instructional DesignersDevelop, interpret and execute briefs andreverse briefing sessions with creatives and multiple internal clients and be akey point of contact with management and clientsCollaborate with production and creative teamsincluding designers, sound and audio, production managers, contractors andkaimahi as requiredProduce and manage end-to-end content creationand deliver engaging and creative content on briefEngage in research and participate in projectreviews to improve programme related policies, regulations, processes,procedures and guidelinesMaintain current knowledge of teaching andlearning resource development practices and associated tools for teaching andlearningEstablish and manage strategic and operationalrelationships with external stakeholders and kaimahi to support strategicpartnershipsWork closely with Programme Developers andProgramme Development Advisors to inform reports to the Poururuku – CurriculumDevelopmentQualifications and Experience Qualifications:
• BachelorDegree in Education or relevant filed
• Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management
- NZQA 11551 and 11552 or equivalent skills and knowledge
• Diploma in Te Reo Maori
• Full NZ Drivers Licence (Class 1)
Experience:
• 2 years'experience in a leadership role preferably in the tertiary education sector
• 4+ years' experience in on-line learning and e-learning development
• 4+ years' in learning & resource design and/or instructional design
• 4+ years' experience in project management or equivalent
• 4+ years' experience working with the NZQA Framework
• 2+ years programme development experience
• Engages incultural activities and has a sound understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values,culture and tikanga)
• Understands and uses basic Te Reo Maori phrases, mihi and greetings (TARMlevel 2 or equivalent qualification)
• Prepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo andahuatanga Maori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavour
• Actively applies Te Wananga o Aotearoa values in the workplace
