You will work with supportive and caring colleagues within a close-knit team. Key responsibilities of the role: Provide quality clinical services to tangata whaiora/people seeking wellness and their family/whanau within Te Whatu Ora Waikato boundaries. As a clinical expert, you will ensure that the appropriate and current knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the area of psychiatry are applied to clinical situations and team decision making. Mo tatou Ratonga | About our Service We are the Mental Health and Addictions Service arm of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu - Waikato. Consult Liaison provide a specialised acute care service to Waikato Hospital and are experts in assessing and managing the short term care needs of clients experiencing mental illness and medical complications. They also provide support to medical clinicians and teams regarding best management of mental health and addictions in a liaison role.

A Psychiatrist who is vocationally registered or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand .
