Consultant Psychiatrist - Adult Community at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Kapiti CoastNau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District Come and join our Adult Mental Health teams within our community! We have vacancies in full-time or part-time, permanent or fixed-term employment.
The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) serves the lower North Island of New Zealand - Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast, and includes local, regional, and national services.
Our adult community mental health services support people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties from the ages of 18-65.
We offer a mix of rural and urban services.
Each service has its own unique characteristics, driven by the community it is based in and the clients it supports.
We work in multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists, and provide consistently high standards of care to adult patients.
We strive to provide a supportive, flexible working environment for all our staff.
MHAIDS is committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) at all levels of our services.
Connections between people cannot be severed whereas those of a canoe-rope can You will be vocationally registered in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or hold an equivalent qualification and be able to qualify for registration with MCNZ.
