We have a flexible structure whereby the role will be based with the Lakes Opioid Treatment Service as well as General Adult Psychiatry (with an addictions focus) and may rotate to in-patient or other community positions over time. The role is based in Rotorua but includes clinic days at the satellite office in Taupo. The role has a strong focus on forging relationships and working closely with the Lakes addictions partners, Manaaki Ora (Rotorua) and arc Counselling services (Southern Lakes).We are embedding our new model of care Te Ara Tauwhirotanga: pathways that lead us to act with kindness. Te Ara Tauwhirotanga is the product of extensive co-design with over 400 participants from the Lakes community, a model that clearly articulates what works for people in their recovery and healing journey.
