Korero mo te turanga - About the role
Wairarapa Hospital provides services for a population of approximately 50,000, providing 24-hour acute and elective care in general and orthopaedic surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, anaesthetics and paediatrics.
Wairarapa Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for a permanent part time Paediatrician. The successful applicant will be part of a small but committed team, that works closely with our Paediatric department within our hospital. Actual hours can be agreed to suit the applicant, hospital clinic, and on-call requirements. You will be working across our seven bed Paediatric ward and SCBU unit. Our busy and dedicated team makes a difference to our patients and their whanau. This is a part-time position, with a 1:4 on-call cover. Innovative rostering options can be developed to suit individual preferences whilst maintaining the requisite level of cover.
Te Whatu Ora Wairarapa also provides ongoing support to staff with further education and learning opportunities.

Mou - About you
The ideal candidate will have:

Preference will be given to applicants who already hold Vocational Registration however applicants must be eligible to apply for Vocational Registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
This position will work 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE) rostered and rotating.
