With a population of just under 50,000 with approximately 80% in the city of Turanga-nui-a-kiwa Gisborne the region is culturally rich and unique with a high population of Maori (55%).The department provides general, acute and elective care with current sub-specialty interests including Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Paediatrics and Sports Surgery. We are looking for a colleague to join the team with a sub specialist interest that would compliment and help build the department and services offered.To be part of our team, you will have:· Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the New Zealand Medical Council of New Zealand or eligible for registration with the Medical Council to enable you to practice medicine within New Zealand.· Demonstrated clinical expertise in management of a variety of orthopaedic conditions· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop partnerships and work collaboratively within a teamIf you would like further information regarding this opportunity, please contact Mr Greg Alexander ****** on the eastern coast of New Zealand's North Island, Gisborne "Tairawhiti" – "The light shines on the water" is the first city in the world to see the rising sun of the new day.
