Job Description - Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (HAU02199) Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Surgical Services 1.0 FTE Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityThe remuneration range for this role is $185,380 - $267,980 and is covered by the collective agreement: SMO MECA.

As a department, we are looking to appoint to a 6-month fixed-term position and are happy to accommodate a job share, with a joint appointment to fulfil the service requirements of the FTE.
As an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Gisborne, you will be supported by two year one postgraduate Doctors and two Registrars. The team is based on a ring-fenced ward for arthroplasty, shared with the rehabilitation team offering a highly valued service to the community. The on-call roster is provided by five Consultants with excellent support from the Orthopaedic community around New Zealand. The department provides general, acute, and elective care with current sub-specialty interests including Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Paediatrics, and Sports Surgery. We are looking for a colleague to join the team with a sub-specialist interest that would complement and help build the department and services offered.
Minimum RequirementsTo be part of our team, you will have:
Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the New Zealand Medical Council of New Zealand or eligible for registration with the Medical Council to enable you to practice medicine within New Zealand.Demonstrated clinical expertise in management of a variety of orthopaedic conditions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop partnerships and work collaboratively within a team.If you would like further information regarding this opportunity, please contact Mr Greg Alexander on ******.
