Seeking a Consultant orthopaedic surgeon for a fixed term 6 month appointment with an established health service in Gisborne, New Zealand. Position Highlights
Work in a small 115 bed general secondary care hospital with tertiary support in Auckland.
40 hour week plus 1 in 5 on call rota.
Team supported by 4 resident medical officers.
Arthroplasty forms a high percentage of the workload.
Provide general, acute and elective care.
Current sub-specialty interests of other surgeons include Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Paediatrics and Sports Surgery.

Professional Requirements
FRACS or equivalent specialist qualification in orthopaedics.
Eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Compensation Package
Salary NZD 200000-400000 PA, DOE.
A generous relocation package.
6 weeks annual leave.
Study leave 16 days plus NZD 16,000 PA finance.
Reimbursement of medical practice expenses including APC and insurance.
