We are looking for the following sub specialities General/Arthroplasty (preference for Fellowship trained revision, lower limb arthroplasty surgeon) Fellowship trained spine surgeon.
You will pride yourself on providing a high standard of clinical practice and expertise to the patients under your care.
The successful candidate will be a team player and clear communicator, willing to work with a multi-disciplinary health team across all 3 of our sites; Wellington, Kenepuru and Wairarapa.
You will be required to assist with the supervision and instruction of junior medical staff within the orthopaedic service.
Mo to matou ropu – About our team The orthopaedic service provides for the management of major injuries and fractures at Wellington Regional hospital and treatment of injuries, congenital, infective, degenerative and malignant disorders of the musculoskeletal system at Wellington and Kenepuru hospitals.
We provide a regional tertiary service for patients with complex major trauma, revision joint replacement, spinal disorder, scoliosis, paediatric and hand surgery.
Mou – About you Vocationally registered in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) FRACS or equivalent qualification or to be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care Relevant experience and training E pa ana ki a tatou – About us Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff, making us one of the major employers in the Wellington region.
