Consultant Ophthalmologists - Permanent at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Nelson Marlborough, Nelson Hospital Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Nelson Marlborough seeks two experienced Ophthalmologists to join the Ophthalmology department 2x Permanent part-time 0.7-0.8FTE (56-64 hours a fortnight) On-call allowance Cover District Wide, Nelson Marlborough regions The successful candidate will: Deliver quality services to improve health of the population in Nelson Marlborough District.
Participate in the Ophthalmology roster with on-call.
Be part of the busy contemporary ophthalmology service and provide a wide range of general ophthalmology care, supported by a multidisciplinary team.
Supervise and participate in teaching of junior medical workforce.
Enjoy working and living in one of New Zealand's most sought-after regions.

The ideal applicant will: Bring their medical expertise and experience to improve health in Nelson Marlborough District.
Ability to work independently as a specialist in a provincial district.
Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists or equivalent.
Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with a vocational scope of Ophthalmology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development and quality improvement.
