Salary based on the current Senior Medical and Dental Officer collective agreement dependent on skills, experience, and vocational registration in NZ.

About these positions:
Deliver quality services to improve health in the Nelson Marlborough District.
Participate in the Ophthalmology roster with on-call duties.
Be part of a busy contemporary ophthalmology service and provide a wide range of general ophthalmology care, supported by a multidisciplinary team.
Supervise and participate in teaching of junior medical workforce.
Enjoy working and living in one of New Zealand's most sought-after regions. The position will be based at Nelson Hospital, covering district-wide service.
Who is an appropriate applicant?
Bring medical expertise and experience to improve health in Nelson Marlborough District.
Ability to work independently as a specialist in a provincial district.
Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists or equivalent.
Eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with a vocational scope of Ophthalmology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development and quality improvement.
