Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist | Tauranga | NZ $250,000 - $250,000 a year Full time We are seeking an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join a team working in a secondary care setting. This post is suitable for newly qualified as well as more experienced physicians and would suit a physician focused on obstetric practice.Position Highlights:a permanent full-time position offering a competitive remuneration package with relocation allowances for overseas applicantslocated in the stunning Bay of Plenty, a favoured locationSecondary care hospital, 360 beds, tertiary support in Auckland.40 hour week plus an equal share of the on-call roster, covering both Obstetrics and Gynaecology.current average call frequency is 1:9 with split weekends.Outpatient/Daytime responsibilities include Antenatal clinics, Gynaecology and colposcopy clinics and Theatre when not on call.Cover is provided by 8 Registrars and 4 SHO's on a common roster with a requirement to participate in teaching, service development and clinical governance.Facilities include a 21-bed inpatient maternity ward, 7 delivery rooms and 12 bed SCBU. Gynaecology is on a shared surgical ward.The Bay of Plenty is a large region along the northern coast of New Zealand's North Island. It stretches 260 kilometres from the Coromandel Peninsula in the west to Cape Runaway in the east.
