Seeking a consultant non interventional cardiologist for a permanent full time job in a regional base secondary hospital covering a large region of New Zealand's North Island east coast.
Position Highlights
110 bed general hospital providing secondary medical and surgical services with tertiary referral to Hamilton.
Collaborate closely with junior medical staff and critical care specialists, ensuring a stimulating mix of acute ward work and outpatient care.
Time split 70% clinical responsibilities and 30% non-clinical duties.
Opportunities for teaching and mentorship in humanities and clinical practice.
Balanced workload with 40-hour weeks and manageable on-call duties.
Typical workday from 8am to 4pm, leaving ample time for leisure and family activities.
A generous annual leave of 6 weeks, CME 2 weeks with a 16K stipend, a matching retirement saving plan and other benefits.

Remuneration: Salary and Allowances
Salary dependent upon experience and ASMS scale.
Allowances for on call and extra duties.
Total remuneration NZD 200,000 - 400,000 PA.
Superannuation 6%.
6 weeks annual leave.
Study leave 10 days PA plus NZD 16K PA.

Reimbursement of costs of medical practice.
Professional Requirements
FRACP or equivalent qualification.
Eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
