There are a number of visiting specialist services, including neurology, neurosurgery, oncology and haematology, and strong links to tertiary hospitals throughout the North Island.The Older Peoples Health and Rehabilitation Service provides inpatient, outpatient and community care to the older population of Taranaki as well as to some younger people with age-related conditions and rehabilitation needs.
