Work with a supportive multidisciplinary team. Deliver quality services to improve health of the population inNelson. Participate in the general medicine acute roster. Teach and develop our growing junior medical workforce. Be able to work independently as a consultant in a provincialhospital. Have background in General Medicine (preferred) as this will allow you to contribute to our acute rosterand run outpatient clinics in gastroenterology and endoscopy. However, yourleadership potential and drive for service enhancement is also important, so ifyour background is solely in gastroenterology this may still be the move foryou. Have specialist accreditation ingastroenterology recognised by the NZ Gastroenterology Society Hold Fellowship of the RoyalAustralasian College of Physicians or equivalent. Be eligible for an Annual PractisingCertificate and vocational scope of Internal Medicine/Rural Hospital Medicinewith the Medical Council of New Zealand. Work with others to promote a cohesive team culture ofcollaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines. Demonstrate commitment to continuing medical education andprofessional development.
