Resilient Organisations – Christchurch, South Island This is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate, curious, and creative team driven by the desire to build our clients' and communities' capacity to manage natural hazards and respond, adapt, and grow with change.
You will join a growing business and get exposure to a diverse range of research, consulting and training assignments.
THE ROLE Working across a variety of research and consulting projects, your main tasks will involve: Working with project leads to scope and define project objectives Reading, analysing, and accurately synthesising literature Collecting data through interviews, surveys, and other means Analysing qualitative and quantitative data Liaising with clients and other stakeholders Synthesising results into various formats (reports, journal papers, and research to practice summaries) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL A Masters and/or Doctoral degree Strong written and verbal communication skills GOOD TO HAVE Research or employment related to risk, resilience or disaster management To be considered for this role, you need the ability to: Be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively Be comfortable asking for help when needed and contributing to group discussions Be proficient in managing your time and prioritising tasks to ensure projects are completed on time Have an enduring interest and curiosity about risk and resilience issues as they relate to organisations, systems, and communities Analyse, synthesise and communicate information effectively and efficiently Be comfortable with ambiguity and have effective strategies to navigate uncertainty Build strong and enduring internal and external relationships Demonstrate an adaptable, client-centric, can-do attitude ABOUT US Resilient Organisations is a niche research and consulting company based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
