Vida Precast Ltd is a commercial precast company located in Matamata industrial area. The company is 100% New Zealand owned and renowned for delivering high quality, technical projects in the commercial sector. VIDA has an awesome culture, social club, and team days.We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Worker/Labourer to join our team. The role involves assisting in the production of high-quality precast concrete components, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, at least 30 hours work each week. This is a permanent full-time position.Key Responsibilities:Load and unload materials such as reinforcing steel, concrete, and tools required for the production process. Handle heavy materials safely and in compliance with company procedures.Help in assembling and dismantling formwork for precast concrete products. Ensure that formwork is correctly aligned, cleaned, and prepared for use.Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to determine the correct positioning of steel reinforcement in precast concrete molds.Securely fix and tie reinforcing bars (rebars) and steel mesh using appropriate tying wire and methods, ensuring reinforcement is properly spaced and aligned within molds.Ensure that steel fixings are correctly installed and positioned to meet project requirements and standards. Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.Ensure procedures are followed in line with our Integrated Management System (IMS) to maintain our ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001).Qualifications and Skills:Previous experience in precast concrete manufacturing.Knowledge of ISO standards.Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods in a manufacturing environment.Commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.Strong awareness of health and safety standards, and a commitment to following our environmental management practices.Ability to identify potential issues in production processes and communicate them to supervisors for timely resolution.If you want more information or are interested in applying for this role, submit your CV and Cover letter to ******.
