We are looking for Construction Technicians to join our business, Extrastaff Limited . Our growing business requires organised and trustworthy individuals who pride themselves on quality workmanship. You must be motivated and result driven.
You might be asked to work across the country to assist our projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred.
The Construction Technician is responsible for:
General labouring cleaning construction sites as required by managers, carpenters, licensed builders, or other professionals
Assisting in carpentry works, such as cutting and assembling parts, erecting frames
Assisting in painting interior and exterior surfaces such as walls, roofs, ceilings, and fences
Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around building sites.
Assisting in erecting and dismantling temporary structures such as scaffolding.
Assisting in concrete work, such as mixing, pouring, and spreading materials, concrete, plaster and mortar
Digging holes and shovelling excavated material onto conveyors, wheelbarrows, and trucks for removal.
Pay conditions:
Min $25 per hour to a maximum of $30 per hour
Hours of work:
Minimum 30 hours of work is guaranteed
Skills and experience required:
Some experience in construction industry is preferable, but not essential.
Friendly, with good time management, excellent work ethic are essential
Time management skills
A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry
Sound knowledge of H and S procedures
Reliable and hardworking
Location:
You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago and Southland.
This role will be a permanent and full-time job.
