We are looking for Construction Technicians to join our business, Extrastaff Limited. Our growing business requires organised and trustworthy individuals who pride themselves on quality workmanship. You must be motivated and result driven.You might be asked to work across the country to assist our projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred.The Construction Technician is responsible for:General labouring cleaning construction sites as required by managers, carpenters, licensed builders, or other professionalsAssisting in carpentry works, such as cutting and assembling parts, erecting framesAssisting in painting interior and exterior surfaces such as walls, roofs, ceilings, and fencesLoading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around building sites.Assisting in erecting and dismantling temporary structures such as scaffolding.Assisting in concrete work, such as mixing, pouring, and spreading materials, concrete, plaster and mortarDigging holes and shovelling excavated material onto conveyors, wheelbarrows, and trucks for removal.Pay conditionsMin $25 per hour to a maximum of $30 per hourHours of workMinimum 30 hours of work is guaranteedSkills and experience required:Some experience in construction industry is preferable, but not essential.Friendly, with good time management, excellent work ethic are essentialTime management skillsA commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industrySound knowledge of H and S proceduresReliable and hardworkingLocationYou may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago and Southland.This role will be permanent and full-time jobIf this sounds like you, please send your resume and brief covering letter outlining your experience.Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
