About the company: Goodman Contractors is a family-owned company based in Kapiti and has been operating for over fifty years. We are specialist earthworks and civil contractors with a wide range of projects from subdivisions, quarry development through to major Roads of National Importance. These have included MacKays to Peka Peka (M2PP), Peka Peka to Otaki (PP2O), Puhoi to Warkworth (NX2) and Te Ahu a Turanga Manawatu Tararua Highway (Taat). The business has significant growth across all the civil disciplines, specifically full civil works for residential development in Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua and the Manawatu. The Role We are looking for a Construction Surveyor to support our existing Project Management delivery team for the successful delivery of our ongoing pipeline of projects including residential / commercial subdivisions, retirement villages, quarry's, RoNs projects and a wide range of other diverse projects across the lower North Island. Attributes for role: 5 + years work experience post-graduation with relevant civil qualification Practical experience working on construction sites Motivated and willingness to learn and grow your career Problem solving mentality Good communication skills to manage client, subcontractors, and operators. Good understanding of specific NZ standards and specifications. Good understanding Trimble software or similar for survey and machine control. Good understanding of the Health & Safety act and managing quality systems and process. Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel.
