Position: Construction Manager Location: Project site at Christchurch, New Zealand.
Job Overview: The Construction Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of the construction phase of a 170MW solar EPC project in Christchurch, New Zealand.
This role requires expertise in solar energy projects, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of the construction phase of the 170MW solar EPC project.
Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate and supervise the work of contractors, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and report on project progress, addressing issues or delays promptly.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams for seamless execution.
Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
Resolve conflicts or issues during the construction phase.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, focusing on large-scale solar projects.
Proven track record of managing solar EPC projects from inception to completion.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations related to solar projects.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of construction.
