We are seeking a skilled Civil Construction Engineer to join our Solar EPC team.
This role involves overseeing the civil engineering aspects of solar power projects, including site preparation, foundation design, and infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities: Ensuring installation, testing and commissioning activities of the Solar Plant are conducted as per the prescribed quality and within the scheduled timelinesPlanning day to day activities with the subcontractor & providing inputs to the Construction Manager for decision makingResponsible for troubleshooting and closing technical challenges at siteReporting progress of the task/activity assigned to the Construction ManagerImplementation and ensuring safety and quality plans are followed appropriately by concerned stakeholders.Coordination with the on-site external stakeholders like customers, multiple contractors.
Getting the best out of resources involved in activities in the projectAlerting the project team on any variations in the project.Forecasting front availability at site.Has to have good knowledge of procedures and timelines involved in Mounting structures, Modules, Cables, Inverters, Transformers, Switchyard and all major components of a solar power plant construction activities.To co-ordinate with civil Contractor for Electrification, Execution, Erection & Commissioning.Site Preparation and Construction: Oversee site preparation activities, including land clearing, grading, and foundation work.Manage the installation of structural components, such as racking systems and foundations for solar panels.Ensure all construction activities comply with design specifications, codes, and standards.Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.Identify and address any construction issues or deviations from design.Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with project requirements.Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site.Conduct safety inspections and ensure all personnel adhere to safety guidelines.Address any environmental concerns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.Communicate project status, challenges, and progress to the project management team.Facilitate meetings and discussions to resolve any construction-related issues.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, inspections, and issues.Prepare regular progress reports and documentation for project stakeholders.Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects on-site activities.Cost Management: Monitor project costs related to civil and structural activities.Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for construction activities.Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum 7+ years of experience in civil or construction engineering, with a focus on renewable energy, Utility or Power projects.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and contractors.Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles.
