Job Details12 month fixed term asap startBased in South Auckland$80,000 per annum Days/ Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm but would require some flexibility.
Day to day responsibilities: Supporting the Senior Rangers – Conservation to develop project specificationsDevelop and agree annual workplans for assigned projects with Senior Rangers – ConservationCoordination of services and materials for conservation projects across the regional park networkOversight of contractor, staff and volunteer performance to ensure projects are delivered as per agreed standards and achieving required resultsEnsuring project reporting requirements are met About YouA tertiary qualification is required in a relevant field (eg ecology, conservation, management)3+ years' experience in a pest plant or animal management or ecological restoration roleDemonstrated experience in leading ecological projects, including those which have significant impact on communitiesSound understanding of tangata whenua and Te Tiriti o Waitangi issuesGood understanding and working knowledge of tikanga and Te ReoStrong track record of effective project delivery, including contract supervisionA good understanding of organisational health and safety requirementsExperience of working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders to create excellent relationships and outcomesAdvanced interpersonal, communication and reporting skillsA current driver's licenceIf this sounds like you and you are available to start immediatley hit apply now!
