The Opportunity
Our Consents team at the Otago Regional Council is looking for a Consents Support Coordinator to join the team on a full time (37.5 hours per week), fixed-term basis (20 months) in our busy Dunedin office.
The purpose of the Consents Support Coordinator is to provide a range of timely and accurate administrative support services for the processing of resource consent applications, while supporting the Environmental Delivery processes within the Otago Regional Council.
As a Consents Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Maintaining and updating the Council's databases for entering and processing resource consents
Working with Consent Officers and provide administrative support including notified applications, hearing planning, customer updates, and monitoring timeframes.
Providing information to public enquirers about consent information.
Processing minor consents and variations according to statutory processes and timeframes

About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with databases and computers.
Strong organisational skills and processes
Ability to work in a complex work environment, deal with ambiguity and across function.
Well-developed oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
A great knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 and associated programmes.
