Consents Manager - Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) Cohesive Construction is a nationwide, family-owned design and construction business with a strong reputation for excellence. As the sole distributor of Wide Span Sheds in the South Island, we construct over 300 premium commercial, industrial, and residential buildings each year. We are seeking a part-time Consents Manager for our Canterbury branch located in Christchurch Central.
Key Responsibilities:
Submission of Building Consent applications including collation and vetting check of documents.
Submission of Minor Resource Consent applications, i.e. Deemed Permitted Boundary Activities.
Oversight of all jobs in concept, drawing or building consent phases.
Oversight of all jobs with external contractors, such as engineers and planners.
Ideal candidate will have:
Sound understanding of the Building Consent process, including managing vetting, RFI and RFI responses, managing timeframes.
Strong understanding around planning requirements for regional district councils including environmental legislation.
Highly organized and able to maintain oversight over a large number of jobs at a time.
An agile person able to re-order and re-prioritize workloads to meet changing deadlines.
Proven administrative and workflow systems experience managing multiple projects.
Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
