Kia ora!The Quality & Safety Team have a 18-month fixed term contract for a Compliance Specialist to join the team in Auckland or Christchurch. This is a great opportunity to be at the leading edge of shaping our quality & safety culture.In this role you will:Provide specialist advice to business leaders on how to improve processes to achieve best practice for safe and compliant operations.Lead, direct and be part of strategic decisions that help improve the business and streamline existing processes.Review and interpret civil aviation rules, regulations, and standards. Where interpretation is subjective, develop reasonable views of possible interpretations and participate in discussions and decision making. This requires an understanding and ability to interpret the New Zealand rules, but those of multiple authorities from around the world.Review and approve changes to documentation required for compliance (e.g., manuals, procedures, and training standards).Produce written policy and procedures (or advise others on how to write) which are compliant, succinct, unambiguous, and user-friendly.Assist the business in performing effective root cause analysis of problems and advise on possible improvements to achieve safer and more compliant processes.Analyse and solve problems where the best solution for safety and compliance is difficult to see or achieve.Advise and facilitate risk management plans for the business on behalf of the Quality & Safety Team.Review proposed additions to business capability along with processing any associated authorisations and compliance issues that lie therein.Assist the business with the ultimate aim of having a successful and effective SMS.Assist and manage external audits and capability requests by external customers and regulators.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high performing team.
