With this merge; we have a range of opportunities available to join our rapidly growing team and with our global reach, this is not your ordinary team or opportunity.SUMMARYTo lead the worker competency management (WCM) team and ensure client workers meet the competency requirements for network asset owners, sites, industry, regulatory bodies and comply with their own safety standards. Service level agreements for WCM clients must be met along with internal Avetta processes for delivering this service in collaboration with other WCM teams.This role would offer a hybrid schedule in our Mount Maunganui or Auckland office (3 days in office, 2 days work from home).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Interpret and understand work type competency standards and ensure requirements are met including any reporting requirements.Ensure team can identify gaps in worker competency and advise client on best pathway to closing gaps.Support the development, implementation and tracking of worker training and assessment plans.Ensure timely response to all client requests for competency and/or training information and solutions.Act as expert in the industries your team work in by monitoring and advising on industry/client competency standards, initiatives, regulatory body changes, qualification and assessment standard changes.Ensure the competency administration team including trainee coordinators act as advisors to clients and offer solutions to training and competency queries.Systematically manage the refresher cycle plans for workers in Workforce Management (WFM) and ensure training is always planned and organised before refreshers expire.Develop annual training budgets and obtain client approval.Manage your team structure, allocation of responsibilities and team performance to ensure sufficient resources to meet client service needs.Monitor team productivity and ensure individual development plans are being achieved and positive team culture is maintained.Ensure monthly client invoices are accurate.Maintain quality procedures for WCM teams in conjunction with other team leaders, ensuring they are current.Ensure all supplier and course comparisons are up to date and Avetta training offers are prioritized against other providers.Attending local, national and international client or Avetta meetings as required.Assist client with competency information and costs for tendering and variations to contract.Provide comprehensive solutions focused monthly reports including compliance stats, cost savings, non-attendance, industry updates, upcoming changes that affect client, escalations, trainee progression, and value added by your team during the month.Assist your clients with implementation and adoption of Avetta products.Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives/actions - CIIs.Other functions as determined by business requirements.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Decision-making and problem-solving skills.Very good communication, both oral and written.Skill in analysing, evaluating and accurately reporting information.Work proactively and pre-empt potential issues and seek solutions before they become a problem.Ability to organise self and others and prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met.High level of understanding of trades qualifications, assessment standards and apprentice pathways.
