With the long-standing incumbent relocating overseas, the time to join the SCVL team is now.You will work closely with talented winemakers, and industry experts, assisting you to successfully oversee 200ha of company vineyards, as well as contract growers. You will also lead an established team in the planning and implementation of all viticultural activities.This is a stand-out role for a motivated, results-driven individual who is adept at fostering a top team culture. You will work hands-on alongside your team where required, and will bring your eye for quality and safety, delivering exceptional viticultural practices across a diverse range of vineyard sites in the Marlborough region.The CompanySpring Creek Vintners is a leading family-owned Marlborough operator. Ongoing investment in a state-of-the-art winery, vineyard assets and a world-class winemaking team, provide a platform for continued expansion via partnerships with world-renowned distributors and retailers.SCVL are continually increasing their presence in the overseas wine market - operating with the ethos of working hard, having fun, and being passionate about making and growing great wine.The RoleLead a team of vineyard managers and operators across company vineyards to deliver top quality fruitWork with and support a fantastic group of growers across the Marlborough regionOversee and direct all operations of company vineyards in accordance with plans developed by the Viticulturist and Winemaking teamBe actively involved inall aspects of the growing process throughout the entire season, from planning pruning, developing spray plans, adapting to changes in seasonal requirements and harvest coordinationEnsure all fruit is grown to the highest possible quality standard in an efficient and professional mannerAssist in the management of vineyard budgets and timelines to achieve optimum results for contracted growers and winemaking processesParticipate in and enhance any accreditation assurance programmes being operated by the companyEnsure that health and safety standards are met and adhered to in all vineyard operationsYour ProfileYou will hold a tertiary qualification in Viticulture, or relevant related fieldsA minimum of five years'industry experience in a similar role, proven ability to manage multiple vineyard sites and stakeholdersExperience in vineyard production is essential, including SWNZ accreditationWorking knowledge of viticulture systems, processes, and safety requirementsExcellent time management, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work to multiple deadlinesSelf-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team, and independently, when requiredContribute to maintaining a strong health and safety culture and identify continuous improvement opportunitiesBring a sense of humour, passion for winemaking and desire to have fun to this dedicated, hardworking teamIn a position to relocate to Marlborough, with unrestricted working rights within NZPlease note; applications for this role will be reviewed as and when they are received, so don't hesitate to register your interest.For further information regarding this brilliant opportunity, please contact Tania McCaa on 021 878 879 , or (emailprotected) .How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
