About the Role:
As a Company Accountant, you will be important in providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting and analysis. This role is crucial for the company's financial strategy as it supports decision-making and ensures the company's economic health moving forward.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in multi-site stock-based business i.e. retail, supermarkets, supply chain or import/export, distribution. Still, we will also consider those with transferable skills! This role involves complementing an existing finance team and being able to work on their long-term strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and financial statements.Manage cash flow, including bank reconciliations and forecasting.Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and board packs.Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and statutory tax submissions.Support operational and strategic initiatives through financial insights.Key Skills and Experience: Must have ICANZ/CPA or CIMA Qualification & ongoing CA Training.3 Years of experience in the CA environment (Audit/BAS).SME Audit Experience beneficial.Knowledge and experience across IFRS.1 Year experience in a stock-based business (i.e product/inventory/retail).5 Years minimum accounting experience.Strong experience working across FA Process Improvement.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliation, and tax compliance.Must have experience working across retail environments or similar.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.Must be able to commit to 5 days in the office.Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to financial problem-solving.Essentially we're looking for a very strong Management Accountant who has over the years honed down on their brilliant communication skills, attention to detail and ability to think outside the square and has experience supporting the Head of Finance/CFO's and senior leadership across operational requirements as needed with the exec team levels (i.e planning & looking into the future).
