The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga Mahi Phoenix Healthcare Group is seeking Community Support Workers – Rehabilitation to provide essential care for a high-need client, requiring 24/7 support.
This role offers you the stability of regular full-time shifts, allowing you to work closely with the same client.
Key responsibilities include providing assistance with mobility using a hoist, supporting with passive exercises, and managing behaviours of concern.
Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as you will have to navigate behaviors of concern and manage sensitive conversations to ensure a cohesive care plan.
This is a great opportunity to balance your mahi (work) with time for your whanau (family) while being part of someone's progress and supporting their journey toward greater independence.
Other details: 12-hour shift patterns (7 am – 7pm, 7 pm- 7 am) regular and consistent, providing you with stability24/7 rotational shifts – flexibility is required to cover any gaps when needed.Supportive team – you will be part of a dedicated team of Community Support Workers – Rehabilitation, fostering strong whanaungatanga (sense of connection and teamwork).This is a new client, with a fresh team – a great opportunity for you to part of the client' progress while further developing your skills.

Have a minimum Level 3 in Health and Wellbeing qualification.Must hold a valid and current Basic First Aid CertificateHave a NZ Full driver's license and reliable transport.Experience with high-needs care patients is an advantage but not mandatory.Show interest in rehabilitation and enabling independence.A strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support, with respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural safety.Possess strong interpersonal skills and integrity.
