Job Description Role 646 Pact is currently looking for 5 part time Community Support Workers for our youth service in the Invercargill The Role Pact is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to work alongside our rangatahi who experience challenges with their mental health. We are looking for someone who will inspire, encourage, be a role model and have excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude. This role will have a strong focus on client goals and outcomes and you will assist the young people in the service in achieving maximum independence. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting youth with a history of challenging behaviours, and providing a meaningful, supportive and educational environment for rangatahi. Further assisting in gaining social, health, education, whanau and cultural reconnection. Key Responsibilities; Support those who have challenging behaviours Assistance with an educational environment Assist in gaining social, health and cultural reconnection Ensure strict compliance with medication and considering client's needs Excellent communication and networking skills Ensure client processes are accurately documented Adding to the teams culture by showing positivity and patience Celebrating staff and clients accomplishments Ability to build and sustain working relationships with clients, staff and external agencies  We focus on self-development, where you will have a chance to train and gain further education on the job, which enhances your CV within the organisation. Our starting rate is $24.78 an hour and increases to $29.10 after completing your Career Force Level 4 qualification with us, which is on the job based training. We offer a lot of training which ensures you have the skills to be the best support person within Pact. As we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend and sleepover shifts. Desired Skills and Experience Excellent communication and networking skills and the ability to build and sustain working relationships with clients, staff and external agencies is essential. Previous professional experience in the mental health field and experience of working with child and youth clients will be an advantage. A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is desirable but not essential. Otherwise, there is an expectation that you will be willing to start working towards obtaining a level 4 mental health qualification after your first year of employment. A full driver's licence and computer skills are essential. If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least twelve months Must be available for an interview in Invercargill #J-18808-Ljbffr
