Pact is a major provider of community, vocational and residential based intellectual disability, mental health and addictions services across Southland, Otago, West Coast and the Lower North Island. We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting people with high and complex needs to lead fulfilling lives in the community. Our services provide a safe and positive environment where our clients are assisted to achieve maximum independence. The Role We are looking for someone who is client-focused, easily adaptable to a dynamic environment, understanding, observant, and non-judgemental. This is a demanding position where you will need to be flexible as you will be on a rotating roster, which means your shifts could change from day, evening, weekend, sleepovers, and awake nights. You will be required to work at different youth services, so if you enjoy a diverse workweek, this job will be great for you. In this role, you will be paid $29.60 an hour, with no qualifications needed. Your Responsibilities Engaging with clients. Setting and achieving individual personal goals. Encouraging client participation in day-to-day life. Supporting them with activities of daily living. Ensuring support with medication and considering client needs. Supporting clients with personal hygiene. Facilitating activities within the community. Supporting social and whanau connections. Motivating clients to know they have purpose. Ensuring client processes are accurately documented. Most importantly, supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling lives. 1 x Full-time Permanent Flex (80 hours a fortnight, weekend work included). As we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend, awake night, and sleepover shifts. Minimum Requirements No qualifications are needed; however, there will be an expectation that you will be willing to work towards a Level 4 in Health & Disability. You will inspire, encourage, be a role model, and possess excellent interpersonal skills with a 'can do' attitude. A full driver's licence as you will be expected to drive clients when needed. Computer skills are essential. If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least twelve months. Training provided to obtain your Health & Wellbeing Level 4 Certificate.
