Community Support Worker - Residential - Wellington Casual position
Salary: $23.38 - $29.10
Spectrum Care Trust supports adults who have intellectual disabilities and we are looking for a casual team member in Lower Hutt. This role is based near the hospital.
We're looking for someone kind and empathic to support 3 young women in their 20s, who have limited mobility when out and about.
We'll need someone who can keep up and engage them in music, baking, and other sensory activities. They are busy bees with high energy. We're looking for someone who is great at interaction—using your expressions and voice to connect, someone who will play, and someone to take them to the swimming pool.
They do need support with eating, showering, and continence, etc. If that's new to you, don't worry; everyone has to start somewhere, and you would be part of a supportive team. The main thing is that you are a kind, genuine person who is insightful and intuitive, ready to be lively and active or gentle and soothing as needed.
