Community Support Worker Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week)General working hours 8:30 to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday(possibility for later hours and weekend work)Service is based in Papakura, covering supports from Papakura through to Franklin areasPay Equity:$25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Service falls under Pay Equity.

Community Support Services South (CSS) – a specialist service within Ember – is responsible for engaging and supporting people who face challenges with their mental wellbeing.
The aim is that everyone can engage in their chosen community and achieve their fullest potential.
This includes working with the individual as well as a commitment to work actively in partnership with family/whanau, Clinical Partners and/or GP services.
Our catchment area is aligned with our Te Whatu Ora Clinical Partners Rapua te Ao Waiora and Nga Raukohekohe(Papakura and Franklin).
The employees act as a positive role model throughout the process.
The service promotes self management and self reliance and supports people with accommodation, transport, training, employment, self care, and personal and interpersonal skills so that people are enabled to live independently in the community of their choice.
Staff work hard to guide and mentor using each and every opportunity to create independence, walking alongside an individual with the goal of total independence.
The service is for people who are currently, or recently been, engaged with Clinical Partners who are finding it difficult to live in their community, or to reach their desired goals.

You will apply your skills and experience to work closely with those who are referred to us either through primary or secondary services.
You will work alongside people with a mental health diagnosis to assist them in living, engaging, and thriving in a community of their choice.
Effective communication and a person-centred approach are vital for this role as you will be working alongside clinical teams and other community agencies to ensure a wraparound service to the people we support.
