This role is busy and diverse, and you be learning something new always. We have 2* casual position available. These roles will be based in Napier.
Your duties will include but are not limited to: Establish a rapport with tangata whaiora and their whanau. Provide day to day support in alignment with client/ tangata whaiora goals and support plans including risk management plans and Safety Plans. Work with tangata whaiora to identify significant goals. Provide encouragement and support clients to achieve their goals. Attend and contribute to team meetings, bringing ideas and updating others on their activities. Ensure all incidents are documented appropriately. We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident, and compassionate to work in our service. You'll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with the community in line with the reintegration plan. You'll use your non-judgemental attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow. You'll have the ability to easily build professional relationships with our Tangata Whaiora, while maintaining strong professional boundaries.
Ideally you will have the following: Experience working in a similar role. A Level 4 (or higher) qualification in Mental Health and Addictionor be working towards one. Demonstrated commitment to recovery values. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills. Should be eligible to work in New Zealand. It's essential that you have a Full New Zealand driving licence. Demonstrated commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice. Our team culture is very important to us.
