Spectrum Care Trust has a vocational support service in Auckland for people with intellectual disabilities.
These people are young, vibrant and ready to find their place in the world, and your job will be to help them do that!
As a Community Support Worker, you will take on dynamic tasks that depend on the needs and dreams of each person.
You will support individuals to find and follow those dreams; making friends, having fun, connecting, and contributing to their local communities, continuing to grow personally, and finding work, education, and other meaningful occupations.
A particular focus will be on assisting people to gain life and work experience, developing skills that will help them into employment.
This might be in open employment—ordinary jobs available locally—or supported self-employment via social enterprises and micro-enterprises.
That's a big ask, so we need a really special team.
